IEPro are working with a respected civil contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major civil and structural infrastructure projects across Queensland. This opportunity sits within a growing contractor delivering complex infrastructure works through both self-performed and subcontract delivery models. With multiple projects currently underway and a strong pipeline of future work, the business is seeking a commercially focused professional capable of taking ownership of project outcomes while working closely with operational teams. This role is ideally suited to an experienced Quantity Surveyor or commercially focused Contract Administrator looking to step into a position with greater ownership and responsibility. The Opportunity As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial performance of your own projects while working closely with the Commercial Manager and project delivery teams. You will have direct involvement in cost management, forecasting, subcontract administration, progress claims, variations, procurement, and commercial reporting across projects valued up to approximately $20 million. This is not a purely office-based role. The successful candidate will spend time on site building relationships with delivery teams and maintaining a strong understanding of project performance. The Role In this role, you will: Manage the commercial performance of multiple civil and structural infrastructure projects Prepare and maintain project cost reports, forecasts, and budgets Assess, negotiate, and manage subcontractor agreements Administer variations, progress claims, and contractual correspondence Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities Support procurement and subcontractor engagement activities Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to optimise project outcomes Attend project sites regularly to maintain strong delivery team relationships Prepare commercial reports and provide recommendations to senior management About You To succeed, you will bring: Minimum 4-5 years' experience within Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Contract Administration Experience working on civil construction, infrastructure, structures, or related projects Strong understanding of project cost control, forecasting, and reporting Experience administering subcontractor agreements and commercial negotiations Strong commercial awareness and contract management capability Ability to work autonomously and manage your own project portfolio Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills A practical and proactive approach to commercial management The Benefits Brisbane-based role A salary package up to $160k super vehicle Opportunity to manage your own projects with a high level of autonomy Exposure to projects valued up to $20 million Mix of office and site-based responsibilities Supportive leadership and direct mentoring from an experienced Commercial Manager Strong pipeline of secured infrastructure projects Long-term career progression opportunities Please note: Only candidates with local Australian based experience and working rights will be considered.
